Maanrock 25/8/2023 - 27/08/2023

Maanrock started in 1996 as a small event with performances by local artists, meanwhile the FREE city festival annually attracts more than 100,000 visitors.

Every year we choose the broadest possible musical palette on different stages spread across several locations in Mechelen. In short: something for everyone.

St Rumbold's Tower

The Saint Rombouts Tower offers you a total experience: both the skywalk on top of the 97m high Tower and the ascent guarantee a unique experience.

The visitor's guide will guide you through the rich history of the Saint Rumold Tower with interesting facts and assignments for the youngsters. Maybe you will meet the tower keeper or the city carillonneur along the way.

Technopolis

At Technopolis, you can ground a plane yourself, take a nap on a bed of nails or ride a bike on a cable five metres high. It is a hands-on centre (not a museum!) where curious kids from 4 to 104 discover all about science and technology.

You will roll up your sleeves during all kinds of workshops, feast your eyes during crazy demos and shows and get to work with numerous interactive set-ups.
